At first, I didn't expect ourselves to get a gold, not even a gold with honours. I thought that this batch will be very restless and wouldn't care about SYF.

To my surprise, they made a tremendous improvement within a few weeks. This was so unbelievable yet it happened. When I heard that we're the last school of the last day, I thought that PRSSCO will be doomed. To make thing worse, we'll competing against Hwa Chong Institution(HCI) (and other neighbourhood schs). OH MY GOSH, HCI is the GOLD WITH HONOURS award holder last SYF. I thought that maybe we'll get a GOLD AWARD.

I've been going down TECC to see how my cute juniors doing for last 2 or 3 weeks. I was surprised that we still couldn't play very well because there were mistakes made by all the sections. Dizi, cello and er hu for pitching. Tan Po for dynamics, rhythm and actions. Percussion for actions, rhythm and FOCUS!!! They were playing and chatting at the back during practice, I didn't interefere coz it's their SYF and I as a senior, shouldn't discipline them coz this will make them hate CO more. So I'll try to hint them to concentrate.

Well, we as seniors also work very hard. We (yu heng and I) not even visit them during practice, but also watch SYF for the past 2 days. (Frankly speaking, supposed to be 3 days, but I only went ytd and today.) We've been doing our homework.

These 2 were yesterday's tix (tuesday).

I told u we did our hw =)These 2 tix are for the admission of SYF for AM and PM sessions on wednesday.

We've listened to 30 schs playing for SYF for past 2 days. And everytime when they played, we record down our prediction, and most of it are right. So judging by how the judges giving the marks. I predicted that PRSSCO can get a GOLD WITH HONOURS. And we did it. No is they DID IT!!!

I'm really really very proud of them. XIN KU LE!!! They must had suffered a lot from DING LAO SHI's scolding. I've been through all those. No pain, no gain. That's wat I learned from her for the past 4 yrs.

What I'm happy of was we beat GOLD award schools like Hwa Chong Instituition, Raffles Instituition, Raffles Girls, St. Nicholas Girls, Anglican High, Ngee Ann, Woodgrove, etc.

And I was sitting in the audience seats with my friends, Hui Min, Ying Shuang, Ronale and many more. We were so hungry for the results. We wanted to know wat PRSS got right away. When the announcer announced "Chinese Orchestra No. 54: Hwa Chong Instituition, GOLD". We were jumping with joy, cheering and clapping becoz that means we have chance to get GOLD WITH HONOURS.

"Chinese Orchestra No. 57: Pasir Ris Secondary School, GOLD WITH HONOURS". ALL OF US FROM PRSS, whether izit those taking part, graduated, instructors or teachers...WE SCREAMED, CHEERED, CLAPPED, JUMPED, HOPPED or watever we were doing. It's so hard to use words to describe our feelings. We are the only neighbourhood school who got GOLD WITH HONOURS. I almost burst into tears. ALMOST...haha I couldn't believe my ears hearing GOLD WITH HONOURS...Coz the announcer announced the results very calmly. But seeing those around me hopped off their seats and hugging each other and laughing. I knew I wasn't wrong. IT WAS TRUE. All our juniors' hard work paid off. NO PAIN, NO GAIN.

This is what happened after the results. Everyone gathered downstairs of the conference hall, then we sang SCHOOL SONG!!! We did that every year after the SYF. Everyone cried and consoled each other.
